The following is a list of the preventative health recommendations we have for your kitten. Following these guidelines will help your new family member enjoy a long healthy life!
Recommendations
1st Visit (Age 7 – 10 weeks)
• Physical Exam + Behavior/Preventive Health Consult
• 1st Panleukopenia/Rhinotracheitis/Calici Vaccine
• 1st Fecal Sample (Deworm if necessary)
• Feline Leukemia/FIV Blood Test
• Heartworm Preventative (Indoor & Outdoor cats are at risk)
• Flea & Tick Preventative (For cats allowed outdoors)
2nd Visit (Age 11 – 13 weeks)
• Physical Exam + Behavior/Preventive Health Consult
• 2nd Panleukopenia/Rhinotracheitis/Calici Vaccine
• 2nd Deworming (if necessary)
• 1st Feline Leukemia Vaccine (For cats allowed outdoors)
3rd Visit (Age 14 – 16 weeks)
• Physical Exam + Behavior/Preventive Health Consult
• 3rd Panleukopenia/Rhinotracheitis/Calici Vaccine
• Rabies Vaccine
• 2nd Fecal Leukemia Vaccine (For cats allowed outdoors)
• 2nd Fecal Sample
Age: Before 6 months
Spay/Neuter/Declaw Visit
• Ovariohysterectomy (Females)
• Neuter (Males)
• 2nd Feline Leukemia/FIV Blood Test
Optional:
• Declaw Surgery
• AVID (identification microchip) placement (Especially important for outdoor cats)
