Video-otoscopy

The use of a rigid fiber optic scope for visualizing the ear drum has revolutionized the success of treating chronic ear infections in pets.

Although it requires anesthesia to insure no sudden movements that could cause injury when delicate procedures are taking place  the benefits to eliminating pain and speeding recovery by very specific treatments is very valuable.
